Nokia 6030 Looks Like a Sliver But is Free

You think the Motorola SLVR "Sliver" phone looks so cool that you've just got to have one. But then you find out they're not easy to find or you'll have to pony up two hundred bucks for a phone. Well, don't despair. We have something you may like just as well for free.

To be sure, the Nokia 6030 is an everyday phone with basic functions. There's no camera or iTunes music player. But it does have an FM radio, which may be even better for entertainment and information on the go. The rich color display lets you send and receive picture messages or browse the Web. Text messaging is also built-in.

What distinguishes the Nokia 6030 is a very thin and light candy bar style construction. It measures 4.1 x 1.7 x 0.7 inches and weighs only 3.2 oz. Those are roughly the dimensions of the SLVR, which is thinner but a bit heavier.

The Nokia 6030 has a built-in speakerphone for group discussions or hands-free operation. You can personalize your phone with downloadable ringtones, wallpapers and games. Talk time is up to a generous 180 minutes or 3 hours. Standby time is up to 300 hours, which is over 12 days away from the charger.
