Sanyo 3100 Espresso Cell Phone

Mmmmm. This cell phone is almost good enough to taste. It's the new Espresso model of the Sanyo SCP-3100 for Sprint PCS wireless service. Coffee lovers, this is YOUR phone. The clamshell case is a deep rich blend of browns and silver.

Just like a good morning buzz of espresso, this is a phone you'll want every day. In fact, once you start using it you may find that you HAVE to have it with you everyday. The SCP-3100 Espresso is habit forming, and for good reason. This tough little phone has all the basics you need and then some.

First of all is the cool espresso color case that has a smaller footprint than a standard business card and weighs only 3.5 ounces. It will be hardly noticeable in pocket or purse. Yet battery life is not compromised. You get up to 216 minutes or over 3 1/2 hours of talk time. Standby time is a respectable 192 hours or up to 8 days away from the charger.

The Sanyo 3100 Espresso is also a camera phone. You get a VGA quality digital camera for capturing those fleeting moments and a decent size color screen to view your pix. You can also send and receive PictureMail with the Sprint PCS Vision add-on feature. Sprint PCS Vision also supports SMS text messaging and mobile Web browsing.

A feature you might not expect is the voice memo recorder. You make up to 12 recordings of 18 seconds each. No need for a memo pad or grocery list. Just play back your voice memos when you wish.

The speakerphone design that Sanyo has incorporated is regarded as high quality and perfect for when it's not convenient or safe to be holding a cell phone. At other times, though, you'll enjoy the look on people's faces as they wonder where you got a espresso color phone when they only have a basic silver model. Go ahead, let them think you spent a bundle on it. We won't tell.
