He knew his students were good; could they put on a show worthy of national attention? Absolutely! Their stage presence, choreography and unbelievably tight playing blew away the competition in band competitions across the country. Between 1968 and 1978 they released 8 albums, with a changing crew of players. Remember, these are high school students. The band broke up as their band master, Conrad Johnson, neared retirement. But fans, collectors and DJs snapped up their records.
