This phone has the advanced capabilities such as Bluetooth communications and speakerphone. Sometimes it isn't convenient or safe to hold a cell phone to your ear. Clip on a Bluetooth headset or just switch on the speakerphone and you're communicating hands-free.

Give Dad a Razor or a Blade

Father's Day is June 18 and Dad already has his ideal present picked out. Is it a tie? Mmmm. No. How about some Barbecue tools? No, he's already got a set. Golf balls? Hey, you can find all you want at the course. Here, I'll tell you the secret. Dad's fancy has turned to razors and blades.

Shaving equipment? You've GOT to be kidding! No, I'm not kidding about the razors and blades. The "cutting edge" devices I've got in mind are in the cell phone category.

First on the list is the Motorola RAZR V3, known affectionately as the "Razor." This advanced technology design has been a hot seller from the day it was announced to the world. Motorola thought way out of the box on this one. Actually, the box is where the key breakthrough was made. Until the RAZR, cell phones were designed around robust plastic cases that would hold up to day to day handling. Consequently, the case thickness measured in at around an inch. The Motorola RAZR is housed in an aircraft grade aluminum shell that makes it strong, lightweight and only half and inch thick.

The original Motorola RAZR V3 features a large 2.2 inch color display, a digital camera, Bluetooth communications and a cool backlit feather touch keyboard. You can get Dad a razor phone with Cingular Wireless service free after rebate.

Verizon has an advanced model of the razor called the RAZR V3c in a grey metal finish. It features an upgraded digital camera with megapixel capability plus support for Verizon's VCAST streaming videos.

Even more cutting edge than the razor is the blade, as you might suspect. "Blade" is the nickname of the Samsung A900 multimedia phone. It comes in a very cool black case just barely thicker than the RAZR. The blade includes a megapixel camera, on-demand video and music from Sprint TV, Bluetooth communications, plus a built-in MP3 player. Yes, you take your own tunes with you when you load them into your A900. You even get front panel controls to control your music experience with the phone closed.

So, what's it going to be? The razor or the blade? Oh, that's your choice. I'm sure dad would love any of these great cell phones. Did you know that if you order a shared minutes plan you can get TWO phones of your choice? You can.

We also have a huge selection of other great cell phones at excellent deals. Check out all the featured specials and find exactly what you are looking for at Cell Phone Plans Finder.

Cingular GoPhone is Cellular Without The Contract

You want to buy your cell phone with service from a major wireless carrier. The only thing stopping you is that two year contract. Or maybe it's the dreaded credit check. Relax. Cingular GoPhone is just the service for you. No annual contract and no credit check. Lots of extras, too.

With GoPhone, you buy your cell phone and a monthly cellular service plan. The most basic service is $29.99 a month for up to 200 anytime minutes. For $39.99 you get up to 300 minutes plus 1,000 night and weekend minutes. Go for the $69.99 a month service plan and you get up to 650 anytime minutes, unlimited night and weekend minutes plus unlimited calling to over 50 million Cingular customers.

Here are some other features of GoPhone service that you'll like. First of all, you get to rollover your unused anytime minutes to the next month instead of losing them. What if you run out before the end of the month? When your balance gets to $5, GoPhone will send you a text message saying you have a low balance. You have the choice of adding more funds to your account or just not using the phone the rest of the month. That's a good budget enforcer. You don't have to go shopping for airtime cards either. Cingular offers convenient monthly automatic payments from your credit card, debit card or checking account.

You won't get gouged by overages with GoPhone. Any extra funds you add are at the same per minute rate as your plan. There are no roaming charges within the GoPhone calling area. You can travel all 50 states and pay the same rate for your calls as you do at home. Check the coverage maps and see how extensive the network is. Nationwide long distance calls are included in your service.

Other goodies include voicemail, call waiting, caller ID, and call forwarding. You can pay per use for text messaging, picture messaging and Internet access.

So what's missing? The contract's missing! So is the credit check. What's not missing is the high quality service and features that other cellular users enjoy. Now all you have to do is choose your phone. We have two great ones available at excellent prices.

The Motorola V190 is a small, lightweight clamshell style phone with built-in speakerphone and messaging capability. It's just $69.99 and comes with a free car charger, free headset and free shipping.

The Sony Ericsson T290a is a stylish candybar phone with outstanding battery life. It gives you up to 720 minutes of talk time, which is up to 12 full hours. This phone is priced at just $59.99 and comes with a free car charger, free headset and free shipping.

Choose the phone you want and order it now with the GoPhone service plan of your choice. Don't wait too long, though. These special pricing offers can end at any time.

Love the idea of a great cell phone deal but prefer a conventional cellular contract plan? We have an excellent selection of great deals on phones and service. Find exactly what you are looking for at Cell Phone Plans Finder.

It's Time for Summer Travel Cards

Summer vacation time is almost here. Where will you be going this year? Car trip for sight seeing? Camping the state or national parks? Enjoying the culture overseas? Sounds good. Now, do you have your handy travel card available?

Travel card? What travel card? Why your travel calling card, of course. Oh, I know. In this age of cell phones the calling card is supposed to be passe. No so. At least not if you want to be sure you can call who you want, when you want, at the best possible rates.

If you have a U.S. cell phone and are staying in the country, then by all means take your cell phone with you. Those who have unlimited roaming plans can make all the calls they want for free, right? Sure. Unless you happen to be in an area that doesn't have cellular coverage. Many of the most scenic places have spotty service at best. Then you're relegated to use a hotel phone and pay through the nose. Or find a pay phone and pay through the nose.

How about overseas? Most cell phones don't automatically work on the other side of the world from where you bought them. In some cases it's a matter of network compatibility. Even if you bought a quad band GSM phone, you may find that your carrier has it locked for their service only. You may or may not be able to get them to unlock it for overseas use. Usually you need to demonstrate some months of paying your bills on time before they'll even consider unlocking the phone. So, don't get the idea you can rush into a store and pick one up the day before you leave.

Of course you can rent a new cell phone wherever you happen to be visiting, but that can get pretty expensive. Especially if you plan on traveling far and wide, or making a lot of calls back home.

This is where that travel calling card becomes your friend. It will save you a fortune when you find yourself having to make long distance calls from a hotel, campground, public phone, or a friend or relative's house. You don't want to run up your friend or relative's phone bill, do you? The cards I am going to recommend don't even cost you to have them available. You only pay when you need to make calls and then the calling rate is just a fraction of what you'd otherwise pay.

They type of calling cards I'm talking about are called "post paid" or "billable." They differ from the ones you buy in convenience stores in that you don't pay for your minutes up front with these cards. Instead, the cost of your calls are charged to your credit card. This avoids a couple of ugly problems that plague prepaid calling cards. With billable cards you never run out of minutes at an inopportune time. You also never have the problem of your minutes expiring when you don't use them.

In fact, a billable calling card makes a great insurance policy against getting stuck with a big long distance bill. It will sit there quietly in your wallet, not costing you anything until you need it. Then you'll get excellent rates to destinations anywhere in the world.

The AccuGlobe International Origination Calling Card charges just 5.9 cents per minute to make domestic calls anywhere in the U.S. 48 states. Billing is in six second increments to save you the most on short calls. Plus, this card works in over 45 countries. Check the rates from places you'll visit to where you want to call and you'll see what a deal this is. Get an AccuGlobe calling card and keep it handy. You won't get charged until you make a call. Then you pay just $1 a month in those months that you make calls, plus the low per minute rates.

If you happen to be spending time in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, you pay just 3.9 cents a minute for your domestic long distance calls with the AccuChat Calling Card. A rate of 4.9 cents a minute is available from 2,500 select cities. In all other areas in the US 48 states, the calling rate is 6.9 cents per minute. Like AccuGlobe, there is a $1 billing fee that applies only in months that you make calls.

The CogniCall International Calling Card is a little different in that it is a "virtual" calling card. In other words, you don't get a piece of plastic. Instead, after you place your order, you'll be emailed your account and PIN numbers. You need to then call a special customer service number to activate your account. This can often be done in one business day to accommodate last minute travel needs. No need to wait, though. CogniCall has no monthly charges at all. You pay just for the calls you make, with rates as low as 6.9 cents a minute in the U.S. and very low rates from over 50 countries.

Sound good? Why not order the travel calling card you want right now while you are thinking about it. Then you can travel with peace of mind, knowing that you'll never be gouged for high long distance rates while you are on your vacation or business trip.

Nokia 6103 Camera Phone Has FM Stereo Radio and Bluetooth

Nokia's latest edition to its popular clamshell phone design is the 6103. With this phone you get such advancements as Bluetooth communications, FM stereo radio, digital camera and five different ways to do messaging. No need to wait. The Nokia 6103 is available at a special low price .

If there is something familiar looking about this cell phone, you should know it is an enhanced version of the popular Nokia 6101, which is still available as of this writing at an incredible savings. The 6101 does not have the Bluetooth capability, but does include a digital camera and the FM stereo radio.

So what's with the radio? Let's face it. A phone is no longer just a telephone. What people really want is a complete suite of electronics capability that they can take with them. Entertainment is a big part of this demand. Some phones, like the proverbial Motorola ROKR, let you download iTunes and carry them with you. Others, let you download songs or music videos. The Nokia 6103 includes a radio so that you can get an unlimited amount of news, music, sports and talk shows without having pay extra for broadband download capability or pre-load the phone. Enjoy your favorite entertainment and when news breaks you'll have instant unlimited access on the FM radio band.

By the way, this phone also provides the capability for streaming multimedia support with MPEG4 video playback and high speed data access. This Nokia phone is ready for mobile entertainment as well as person to person communications.

Another feature that most people like is the ability to take impromptu photos and send them to friends and colleagues. The 6103 has a VGA quality digital camera with self-portrait mode and 4x digital zoom. It can also capture short video clips in camcorder mode.

You'll be proud to display this cool looking cell phone as you make and take calls. Sometimes, though, holding a phone to your ear is either unsafe or inconvenient. This is where the 6103 excels. Clip a Bluetooth headset on your ear and you can put the phone safely in your pocket or purse while you converse unencumbered. You also have the option to switch on the speakerphone for hands free conversations, perhaps including the group of friends sitting with you.

Messaging is another strong suit of the Nokia 6103. There are five, count 'em five, messaging technologies built-into this phone. Of course, you have standard 2-way SMS text messaging plus text messaging templates. You can send your pictures via multimedia messaging, including video clips. You can also send audio messages via audio messaging. Instant messaging supports AOL, Yahoo! and ICQ. Finally, there is email. Yes, you can send and receive email messages with the built-in email client. There is also a mobile Web browser included to complete your Internet access.

Oh, you love the idea of a great deal on your cell phone but have your heart set on a different model phone or perhaps a different carrier. We have an excellent selection of special offers and great prices on most any cell phone you want. Find exactly what you are looking for at Cell Phone Plans Finder.

For those times, you can switch on the high quality speakerphone and be communicating hands-free. This is also a great feature to have when your whole group wants to join in the conversation.

Another special mode of communications is PTT or Push to Talk. This is the famous "Walkie Talkie" system where you push one button and your voice instantly comes out of the phone you are calling without having to wait for a ring and answer. It's just like a two-way radio, but with much greater range. Sprint PCS Ready Link is a low cost add-on service that gives you walkie-talkie communications with similarly enabled phones. Get $100 Just to Sign Up For Dish Network

You've hear of the TV wars, right? No, not NBC vs ABC, or 24 vs The Apprentice, or even subscription television vs over the air broadcasting. The real pitched battle is Satellite TV head to head with Cable TV.

So what's behind these TV wars? In any area there are only a few broadcast channels available and they are strictly regulated by the FCC. There's no way there are going to be any more because the cell phone companies and public service agencies are competing for that same spectrum. Your only hope to get more variety in TV programming is to subscribe to either satellite or cable television. Cable TV is a regulated franchise, something like over the air broadcasting. Each town has one and only one Cable TV company. If you live outside a metropolitan area or in a new subdivision that isn't wired up yet you are totally out of luck. Even if you do live in an area wired for Cable, you'll have to pay whatever this monopoly provider cares to charge... and that can be a LOT.

That's where satellite TV fills the demand for more and higher quality TV channels without the need to string more wiring all over town. Dish Network is the leader in satellite broadcasting, with hundreds of channels available including news, movies, sports, science, kids channels and even your local TV channels.

Why the locals? Two good reasons. First, your over the air reception may not be all that great. Snow, lines, and distorted pictures are typical. Even the locals on Cable may not look all that great. Any of the Cable channels that are in analog, like most over the air broadcasting, are subject to picture degradation. Dish Network channels are 100% digital transmission. The other reason is that Dish Network offers a receiver that includes a digital video recorder, also called a DVR or PVR (Personal Video Recorder). This technology lets you record, pause and replay your TV programs without a VCR. The quality is just the same as when you watch live because the signal stays in the digital mode.
